FLO was born in a mutable period, marked by climatic and social change, offering the opportunity to experiment with new design approaches, ranging from the disruption of established systems to the emergence of new anthropic behaviors.
The office’s research is based on methods that respond to our changing environment, embracing innovation as a form of continuous experimentation.
We push disciplinary boundaries, focusing on compromised ecosystems and pursuing antifragility as a target: the ability to thrive by responding to stress, and by embracing uncertainty and transformation. We view territorial issues as opportunities for change, generating functional, environmental, cultural, and social quality.
FLO nasce in un periodo mutevole, caratterizzato da cambiamenti climatici e sociali, che offrono l’opportunità di sperimentare nuovi approcci progettuali, dall’alterazione di sistemi consolidati a nuovi comportamenti antropici.
La ricerca dell’ufficio si basa su approcci che rispondono al nostro ambiente in continua evoluzione e intendono l’innovazione come sperimentazione perpetua.
Forziamo i confini tra discipline, concentrandoci su ecosistemi compromessi e ponendoci come obiettivo l’antifragilità, in ottica di prosperare rispondendo agli stress, accogliendo incertezza e cambiamento. Consideriamo le criticità legate agli sviluppi territoriali come opportunità di trasformazione, generando qualità funzionale, ambientale, culturale e sociale.
